Chapter 25 You Can’t Handle This
When William finally spotted Aiden, the latter was already wrapping an arm around Angelina’s waist. A figure flew in one direction and slammed heavily onto the floor a distance away, causing an uproar among the crowd.
“Does it hurt?” Aiden asked gently while he glanced at Angelina’s swollen face, his eyes. filled with pity.
“No.” Angelina shook her head lightly. This was her first time feeling such warmth in her
heart.
The unhappiness from their previous argument was completely gone.
“Is this your sister?” Just then, William stepped forward and asked Aiden with a smile.
“Hmph!” Aiden snorted. Because of what happened to Angelina, he wasn’t in the mood to be nice to William.
William let out a dry laugh, feeling sheepish. He never expected someone to cause trouble at a banquet hosted by the Webb Family and even mess with his savior.
“That man was being unreasonable. Angelina said that she wasn’t interested in him, but he still insisted on feeling her up.” Just then, Linda spoke up.
Linda had walked over to them shortly before. At such gatherings, the status–obsessed woman didn’t miss a chance to establish connections. Every time she met a new person, she would tell them that her son–in–law was the Webb Family’s benefactor, and the person. would always humor her. She even promoted their business on the side and was happily occupied the entire night.
Aiden smiled coldly as he took a step forward. Meanwhile, the man was already struggling to get up. Blood trickled from the corner of his lips, and the seyere pain in his chest had completely woken him up.
He looked at Aiden with a frightening look on his face, his eyes bloodshot. “In all of Keyland, you are the first person who has dared to hit me. Don’t you know who I am? I’m James Chapman!” James glared at Aiden coldly as he spoke..
At that, exclamations sounded throughout the venue. “That’s the young master of the Chapman Family,” someone whispered. The Chapman Family was prominent as well, or the people wouldn’t have spoken in such hushed tones.

Chapter 25 You Can’t Handle This
“I don’t care who you are. Once you touch my woman, you’re done for,” Aiden retorted coldly.
He had seen too many prominent and wealthy families. Who could do anything about
him now?
William frowned, for things would get a little troublesome if the playboy from the Chapman Family was involved.
From behind, Angelina glanced at Aiden. His woman? she thought.
As William grabbed onto Aiden’s arm, he said, “James, he’s a good friend as well as my
savior.”
Aiden had saved his life, so he couldn’t just stand by and watch.
Just then, a series of soft coughs echoed throughout the venue as Old Mr. Webb appeared. He looked at Aiden with a complicated expression. He already knew of Aiden’s identity and the fact that Aiden had married Angelina’s family.
He looked down on the man slightly, but Aiden was the Webb Family’s benefactor, and his medical skills were worthy of establishing a good relationship with him. After all, no one could guarantee that they wouldn’t get sick.
However, Aiden seemed to have acted a little too wild earlier. Old Mr. Webb now had to decide between Aiden and the Chapman Family. As the head of the Webb Family, he had to consider these issues.
He didn’t speak up, for he wanted to hear what James had to say.
“William, save your breath. No matter who it is, as long as they hit me, they’ll have to pay for it. Boy, if you live to see tomorrow, I’ll write my name backward, James said with a
sneer.
The next moment, he took out his phone and glanced coldly at William. “Jordan, someone hit me at the Webb Residence,” James said into the phone.
Old Mr. Webb frowned when he heard that. The Chapman Family wasn’t powerful enough to suppress the Webb Family, but Old Mr. Webb was wary of the person backing James.
“The Webb Family will take responsibility for this incident, James. How do you propose we compensate you?” Just then, William spoke up coldly.

Aiden hadn’t spoken a word through it all. He wisely awaited Old Mr. Webb’s reaction to judge whether the Webb Family was a worthy partner or not.
“Lucas, take William back to his room.” At this moment, Old Mr. Webb spoke in a low voice instead.
When Aiden heard that, the smile on his face suddenly turned playful.
No matter how much William struggled, Lucas was persistent.
By then, everyone present could see that Aiden wasn’t that important to the Webb Family: after all, the Webb Family wouldn’t go against the Chapman Family for a nobody like him.
“Chapman, he’s a friend of the Thatcher Family. We are still indebted to him, so you can’t touch him. If this doesn’t sit well with you, I’ll negotiate with your grandfather in person.”
Just then, a voice suddenly rang out in the hall. Everyone turned to see a white–haired old man standing at the entrance of the hall. An intimidating young man supported him from the side, and he winked when he caught sight of Aiden.
The latter smiled politely. The young man was none other than Zachary Thatcher, and Aiden hadn’t expected the Thatcher Family to be here today.
“Well, what do you think?” The old man looked at James coldly as he spoke.
“Alright, fine. Since Old Mr. Thatcher has spoken up, I’ll have to respect that. However, once we’re out of the Webb Residence, I hope you won’t interfere
won’t interfere anymore.”
“Naturally!” Old Mr. Thatcher didn’t say more.
James looked at Aiden and said coldly, “Only death awaits you, loser. I’m getting Angelina no matter what!”
Aiden smiled disdainfully. “I don’t need protection. Come at me however you will. It’s not a question of whether you’ll attack me–it’s a question of whether I’ll have mercy on you!”
“Good, good! A brave one! Just wait and see!” James spat in hatred.
Since Old Mr. Thatcher had spoken, the incident came to an end. The hall returned to its merry atmosphere, but now, everyone was wondering who exactly Aiden was.
Even after the Webb Family stopped supporting him, the Thatcher Family still stood up
for him.
Chapter 25 You Can’t Handle This
Meanwhile, Linda realized the Webb Family no longer favored Aiden. Even though the Thatcher Family stood up for him, the Chapman Family wasn’t a regular family either. How should they go about this?
“Come here right now, Angelina. Are you going with that loser to the grave after he leeched off our family for so long?” Linda went forward and grabbed Angelina’s hand.
Then, she looked at James. “Mr. Chapman, this whole incident is this loser’s fault. It has nothing to do with my daughter, right?” Linda smiled as she spoke to James.
“Yeah, she’s not involved in this. I will never touch her.” James grinned as he looked at Angelina, not even bothering to hide the greed in his eyes.
Linda smiled. “Good, that’s good to hear.”
In comparison, Aiden’s efforts to get wealthy weren’t very promising, whereas the Chapman Family was a bona fide wealthy family. With Angelina’s good looks, paired with a few tactics Linda would eventually teach her, once Angelina managed to enchant the young master of the Chapman Family… Linda was already fantasizing.
Aiden was already used to his mother–in–law looking down on him, but at that moment, he couldn’t help but notice that she had sunk to a new low. It seemed like nothing was too shameful for her.
“Mom, what are you talking about? I’m not going!” Angelina frowned as she said. “All this happened because of me. I’m not leaving!”
“Angelina! Stop trying to piss me off!” When Linda heard that, she was so infuriated that she stomped her feet. “You rebellious girl! You’re refusing to listen to me now, eh?” Linda bellowed, rage filling her face.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt your daughter. She simply hasn’t realized who’s the stronger one here.” James grinned, acting as if Angelina was already his; he even did a throat- slitting gesture at Aiden.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Chapman,” Linda said, bowing.
The banquet ended on an unhappy note, and Old Mr. Webb left after saying, “Know your place.
After scanning the expressions of everyone present, Aiden chuckled. Then, he looked at Angelina. He didn’t care how everyone else saw him; he was only concerned about Angelina’s decision.

To be honest, Aiden was a little surprised that Angelina would take his side, and warmth filled his heart when it happened.
“Mr. Finnegan, this is as far as I can help you.” Old Mr. Thatcher smiled as he spoke to Aiden. “After all, we still have to be a little wary about that person behind the Chapman Family.”
Thank you so much. Old Mr. Thatcher!” Aiden said with a nod.
“I’m sorry, Old Mr. Thatcher, but I’m afraid you can’t handle this!”
