Nikolay:
“What kind of game are you fucking playing?” I asked, glaring at Katerina.
She looked at me, and shaking her head in question, she let out a mocking laugh before turning to those who were around us as we sat in the restaurant.
“They asked a question, I merely responded. I doubt that there is something wrong with doing so?” She asked, smiling sarcastically at me.
“You never were one to respond to the press. Who the fuck are you trying to play, huh?” I asked, and she shrugged.
“It is on you to believe that I am playing. I am not. I was merely responding to the questions. As for never answering, you never allowed me to. I took the initiative today considering that we are adults in this relationship.” She said, smiling at me. The two of us took our seats, and though I was more than a little tempted to leave, I knew not to. “We both agreed that we wouldn’t be letting your mistresses affect our reputation. It is not even in your favor for her to be doing so. Therefore, we are going to play the happy couple until the divorce. It would be a mutual one in the eyes of the press…”

“I believe that we can come to agreements of not making a fuss. The less it is seen and mentioned, the better it would be. “We came here to talk. But it seems to me that you want your own word to go.” I said, glaring at her, watching as she took a deep breath. I had to force myself to remember that we were in public as not to raise my voice.

“My children are my main concern, Nikolay. This divorce is going to hurt them if it doesn’t end up being a healthy one.” She said, and I shook my head at her.
“I doubt that you should be caring…”
“Nikolay, you know what kind of mothers I am. You know how much I care for my children, and you know…
“I know nothing, Katerina.” I said, stopping her. “About you wanting the children, if that is what you are here for; you can forget it. I am going to be sure that they have everything that they need, and that they still see you considering the fact that you are their mother. I am not going to be a monster

“The decision is final.” I said, looking her dead in the eye.
“The decision will ONLY be final when the judges and jury make the final word. Until that happens, you are neither responsible, nor am I going to argue with you.” She said, making me frown.
The waiter, taking in the scene, stepped back and didn’t approach.
“Who are you depending on? Huh? You have no one to back you up, and you know as well as you
