Jerome didn’t look at Mikayla and went straight to Wanda. 

“Aren’t you busy at the company? Why did you come so early? Do you miss your wife?” Wanda intentionally asked. 

Mikayla Intervened before Jerome could speak, “Grandma, Jerome and I are about to get divorced. Please don’t make such jokes. 

Wanda looked at Jerome and waited for his response. 

Jerome remained indifferent. “I finished my work, so I came to see if there’s anything I can help with.” 

Wanda already laid down everything for Jerome yet he decided to Ignore her instead. She was on the verge of losing herself to her anger. 

Mikayla understood her intentions. 

Unfortunately, Jerome didn’t want to cooperate with Wanda. Even if he did, Mikayla wouldn’t have 

believed it. 

She smiled and changed the subject, “Grandma, let’s look at the photos together.” 

Wanda called Jerome over. “What are you standing there for? Come and have a seat!” 

Jerome walked over and sat down with them at the table. 

“Grandma, you can place this on the bedside or the dressing table,” Mikayla said. 

The photo frame was delicate and beautiful. Inside it was a photo of Wanda smiling graciously. 

“Kay, why isn’t there a photo of you and me together?” Wanda asked. 

Mikayla replied, “It’s because you are beautiful! That’s why you deserve a photo alone. There are many photos of us together in this album. You can look at them anytime.” 

In fact, Mikayla had thought about choosing a photo of them together. 

However, since she was going to divorce Jerome, she wouldn’t be Wanda’s daughter–in–law anymore. It wouldn’t be appropriate to display photos of her and Wanda together. 

If someone asked about it in the future, it would be embarrassing for Wanda to answer. So Mikayla chose a solo photo of Wanda. 

Wanda could see through Mikayla’s thoughts. While she felt sorry for her, she was even more annoyed 

with Jerome. 

“Kay, I’m a little thirsty. Could you please make me some tea?” Wanda asked. 

Mikayla knew that Wanda wanted to talk to Jerome alone, so she readily agreed. 

“Grandma, I’ll take the aromatherapy sticks to your room. You can take a nap with it later,” Mikayla said. 

Thank you, Kay,” Wanda replied. 

Mikayla quickly put down the photo album. 

She then took the aromatherapy sticks and left the study 

Jerome’s gaze followed Mikalya as she left. 

“What are you looking at now? Why didn’t you look at her when you came in just now?” Wanda sald angrily. “Why didn’t you admit you miss her?” 

“I didn’t miss her at all,” he replied. 

“You brat!” Wanda was having a hard time holding back the urge to hit Jerome with her cane. “Why are you still so stubborn? Can’t you see how determined Mikayla is to get a divorce?” 

Jerome remained indifferent. “She’s always been determined, no matter if it’s toward marriage or divorce.” 

“Are you trying to play the victim now?” Wanda was infuriated. “Kay used to love you so much. Can’t you lower your pride a little and try to keep her?”

you’re acknowledging that she used to love me. Now that she doesn’t love me anymore and insists on leaving, why should I force her to stay?” 

Wanda was so angry with Jerome that she swung her cane at him. “Don’t you have any feelings for Kay at all? If you divorce just like this, it’ll be even more difficult to win her back in the future!”
