“Rachel.” Tiara sat down and looked up at Rachel. “If you must choose between me and Wave Perfume…”
“I choose you!”
Rachel didn’t let Tiara finish the question and gave her answer without hesitation.
Tiara was stunned. Then she cracked up.
Rachel was hot–tempered. She didn’t like socializing, but she had the specialized knowledge that the job at the studio required. In light of the stability and working benefits, the job was kinda perfect for her.
Tiara wouldn’t stay at Wave Perfume any second longer, but her decision would inevitably affect Rachel. She would feel bad about it.
However, to Tiara’s surprise, Rachel
steadfastly chose her. It appeared she did get something from working here.

Tiara and Rachel exchanged a look and smiled. They felt each other’s joy without saying a word.
“Right. Did you make up your mind to work for Newborn Perfume?”
Since the cat was out of the bag, Rachel cut to the chase. “Can I … also go there?”
Rachel asked gingerly, for fear that it would cause Tiara some trouble.
Newborn Perfume wanted either a person or a team, not two people. Besides, Rachel wasn’t famous in the perfume world. She was just an obscure assistant. Rachel didn’t know for sure that Newborn Perfume would accept her.
“Well…” Tiara fell silent. After all, she didn’t mention her assistant to Newborn Perfume.
Lucas arranged for her to go to Newborn Perfume. If she asked to bring Rachel…

Seeing Tiara hesitate, Rachel quickly expressed her thoughts in a relaxed tone.

“When will you go there?”

Rachel shouted with indignation, “But they took the files!”

“We spent days and nights making all those perfumes. You sacrificed a lot and put so much effort into them. How could he take all the credit? Not to mention he wanted to smear you! He has no guilty conscience!”
Though others were kept in the dark, Rachel knew everything.
She knew it was she and Tiara who did those research and experiments over and over again. At the crucial stages, they didn’t even have time to eat. They would only take a short nap on the bench at night in case the date went wrong.
She was there with Rachel through thick and thin. That was why she was indignant.
“No, he doesn’t have it!” Tiara chuckled contemptuously. “Dream however he wants. He won’t get away with it.”
“Tiara, tell me. What do I need to do?” Rachel was quick–witted and immediately took the hint.
“I don’t need you to do anything. I need you

Tiara smiled meaningfully, but Rachel was bewildered. “What do you mean, Tiara?”
“What does Darren fear the most after he asked me to lie to the public?”

“Me? I’m the witness?” Rachel pointed at her nose and was suddenly enlightened.
“I can step out and testify for you!” Rachel stood akimbo and said vociferously. “I can expose his lies and let everyone know what kind of person he is!”
Tiara shook her head and chuckled. “No. All you need to do is take two days off.”
“Take two days off?”
“Yes! Darren doesn’t need you to testify for him. He’d love to see you take some time off.”

Darren, who was overly discreet, wouldn’t allow Rachel to resign at such turbulent times. Thus, asking Rachel to slack off was the best solution.
However, Rachel still had some worries. “Tiara, I should take your sides. I don’t want to be a deserter!”
“Silly girl. It’s not a war. You aren’t a deserter!” Tiara chuckled. “I know what I’m doing. Don’t you want to go with me? Take some time off because there will be a lot of work to do after!”
Tiara fixed her steely–eyed gaze upon Rachel, which dispersed Rachel’s doubts. Rachel nodded. “OK. I’ll listen to you!”
Tiara planned to head to Newborn Perfume after leaving the studio. When she waited for the cab at the curb, a black Maybach stopped in front of her.
As the window slid down, Tiara was surprised to see Lucas‘ handsome face.
“Get in,” he commanded.

Tiara pursed her lips and got into the car.
“Why are you here?”
He seemed to know where she was.
“Not happy to see me?”
Lucas turned and stared at her. The car had already started.
“Of course not!” Tiara casually held his arm and said. “I’m a little unprepared.”
“Did I surprise you?”
Tiara chuckled, “Yes! You did!”
“But where are we going right now? I planned on going to Newborn Perfume. You know. I haven’t gone through the employment procedures yet.”
Tiara chatted briefly with the person in charge last night. She even found out the address of Newborn Perfume on the Internet.

“Why?”

Lucas remained quiet. He raised his hand and pointed at the back.
Tiara turned and looked back. She found a car that seemed to have been tailing them.
After Tiara confirmed that the car was indeed following them, she wondered if they were sent by Darren.
“What should we…”
Before Tiara asked her question, Lucas slipped his arm around her shoulder, and the car sped up at the same time.
The inertia caused her to fall toward him.
