Seeing Cameron squatting down, Laura was secretly happy. She never thought that he would still be willing to carry her.

Laura rested her head gently against his back as before. At this moment, she felt particularly at ease
and happy.
Cameron paused briefly, knowing it was her favorite position when he carried her.
She always liked to rest her head on his back, saying that she felt at ease in this position.

After getting along with him, she knew he was sharp–tongued but tender–hearted.
If he didn’t care about her, he would’ve left a long time ago and wouldn’t be carrying her right now.

There were many times when Laura couldn’t help but want to tell Cameron the truth about back then. But she thought of the Jones family behind her. If she told him the truth, he would risk everything for
