Eric directly placed the contract in front of Gilda and said, “Here, take a look!”
It was surprising that the Universe Blade Group was so generous.
Gilda smiled, “In that case, then the cooperation between us is settled for now. As for the signing… We’ll need another meeting before making a final decision.”
“Yes, Ms. Lynch,” echoed Eric.
After getting this done, Gilda felt instantly better, even when she was reading the documents.
She was so focused on her work that she didn’t notice someone walking in.
Megan was surprised to see Gilda because she hadn’t expected Gilda to be so engaged in her work.
Megan couldn’t help but walk to the desk and knock on it. Gilda didn’t look up, but said, “Eric, make me a cup of coffee and bring it over for me.”
Megan made no reply.
Without getting a reply, Gilda looked up in confusion and exclaimed when she saw Megan, “Megan? Why are you here?”
Megan sighed, “Or what? Who did you think you’d see?”
Gilda hurriedly put down the documents in her hand, got up, held Megan’s arm, and called out, “Why didn’t you tell me you came? I thought it was Eric.”
Megan shrugged and said, “I called you but no one answered.”
Gilda took the phone and saw several missed calls. She murmured, “I’m sorry, sweetie! I muted my phone.”
Hearing this, Megan didn’t complain anymore.
Megan sighed again, “Forget it, you workaholic! You must be busy working these days, aren’t you? You haven’t even come by my store.”
Gilda said apologetically, “Sorry, Megan!”
Gilda looked so emaciated that Megan couldn’t bear to blame her. Finally, she said in a sweet voice, “Well, I forgive you. You look unwell. Wanna come to the spa with me?”
Hearing Megan’s words, Gilda suddenly realized that she hadn’t taken much care of her skin recently and her skin condition was worse than before.
Cilda remarked, “Sure. It’s time to care for
my skin.”

They chose a VIP room and took a set of full–body care, relaxing their whole bodies.
Just as they were about to have a good rest, they heard voices coming from next door.
“It’s rare that we get to hang out together, isn’t it? We really need some relaxation,” spoke none other than Carol. Although Gilda hadn’t seen Carol for a long while, she immediately recognized Carol’s voice.
Another voice laughed, “Mrs. Harrington, we all know how busy you are! You haven’t forgotten us old friends because your son married the daughter of the richest man, have you?”
It was not a secret that Gilda was the daughter of the richest man in the world.
Rumors about Gilda had spread amongst them for a long time and they all knew that Carol used to treat Gilda badly and often belittled Gilda in front of them.
Now Gilda’s identity was revealed, but they all knew she had divorced Jensen.
Carol was always condescending and rude in front of her friends, so of course, they wouldn’t let go of this opportunity to mock Carol.
Someone chuckled, “Mrs. Harrington, why don’t you bring your daughter–in–law to us? Maybe we will need her help someday.”
