Three minutes later, Annie received his reply. “They said they can intercept that doctor who received you and your test reports. Just go for the test with peace of mind.”

“Don’t mention it. I’m glad that you don’t blame me for hiding the truth from you,” Annie said as she shook Melanie’s arm. “But do you feel that you’re pregnant?”
Melanie paused for a moment before shaking her head. “I have no idea, either.”
She followed the doctor’s instructions and went through two tests. Half an hour later, she looked at the blood test report that Annie retrieved for her.
