Yolanda booted Apollo right out the door, shielding Lizetta.
“Liz, you okay?”
Lizetta shook her head at Yolanda, while on the other side Apollo hit the deck and started howling. clutching his chest. “Ow, ow, ow!”
“Apollo, what’s got you in such a pickle?” Jolin rushed over.
“Jolin, I think that little witch broke my ribs. It’s killing me! We gotta milk them for more medical bills!
Apollo, clutching his chest, glared at Lizetta in anger.
Frica was also clutching her lower back, plopped down on the ground and started to throw a fit, “My back’s all messed up now too, Lizetta. You gotta cough up at least another million for my medical expenses!”
The commotion in the ward had already drawn a crowd at the door, with some even whipping out their phones to record the drama.
Through tears, Erica turned to the onlookers and pointed at Lizetta, “Look at this, everyone. My husband’s niece here, her own brother’s a vegetable in bed, her mom’s counting on her for retirement, but now that she’s married rich, she doesn’t give a hoot about her own mother, not a dime for support. She’s even planning to jet off abroad and never come back.”
Erica, tugging at Jolin, cried out. “Jolin, why’s life got to be so rough for you? How’d you end up raising such a heartless daughter?”
Apollo, leaning against the wall to stand up, stepped in front of Lizetta.
“Lizetta, if you won’t support your mom, I will, ‘cause she’s my sis. But you can’t just leave her high and dry. I mean, doesn’t she owe her some support?”
The rubberneckers didn’t know the full story.
Seeing Jolin and co. cry their eyes out, hurt and broken, and Thaddeus lying on the hospital bed, hanging between life and death, they felt sorry for Jolin and started verbally throwing stones at Lizetta.
“Dressed to the nines, got enough dough to travel but can’t support her old folks?”
“Your parents didn’t have it easy raising you. How can you just think about escaping to greener pastures?”
“Yeah, you’ve got to dish out the support money. If not, she could be sued!”
“Lady, don’t worry. If your daughter refuses to pay up. I’ll blast this video all over the internet. She’d feel ashamed after leaving the country!”
They were all wagging their fingers, indignation written on their faces.

Someone, god knows where from, snatched an egg and hurled it at Lizetta.
“Not even supporting her own mother. What a beast, deserves a good beating!”
“Liz, watch out!”
Yolanda protected Lizetta, and the egg smashed against the back of her head, gooey yolk dripping
down.
“Ha! Serves her right! So satisfying! Just a pity it didn’t smack right into Lizetta’s face.”
In the hospital parking lot. Evelina sat in her car, phone in hand, watching the live stream of the ward.
Evelina wanted Jolin to make a scene, and she sure as heck wanted to see it herself for some sweet revenge. She had set up the live stream in advance and even bought some views to heat things up.
Now, the live stream was buzzing with a few tens of thousands of viewers, and the comments section was a storm of abuse aimed at Lizetta.

Lizetta and Remington were already done for, divorced. Remington surely wouldn’t bother with Lizetta’s hot mess anymore.
Even if Lizetta managed to leave the country, she wouldn’t be able to do it with her head held high. She’d be run out of Zion City like a scalded rat!
The live stream kept rolling.
Back in the ward. Lizetta pulled Yolanda aside, frantically checking her head.
