Sanford nodded hard.
But Alick was shilly–shallied. He didn’t know whether it was wrong or right that he took Summer in.
Alick wanted to isolate Summer from the outside world and expose a flaw on purpose. In this way, he could know his other child. But Alick didn’t expect that Summer seemed to know his plan first and then hid.
Now that Alick had to be very cautious in his action.
“I will ask her to stay with you.”
Sanford was satisfied and continued to read the comic book on his stomach. And he didn’t say anything or look
at Alick anymore.
Alick didn’t stay there so long. After leaving there, he walked into Summer’s room.
There was
hort cry.
That was Summer’s screaming. She hurriedly wrapped herself in a towel.
She had just undressed to take a bath. But she didn’t expect that Alick would stand at the door when she turned around. Summer was scared to death!
“Won’t you knock before you come in?” Summer was still suffering from the shock, with her chest rising and falling constantly.
“First, this is my house. Second, I saw you naked a few years ago.”
Alick had seen that Summer’s face blushed, which made him pleased.
“You’ve changed a lot,” Alick said suddenly.
But Summer didn’t continue this topic. After wearing a bathrobe, she rolled her eyes at Alick.

Summer was sure that he was here to catch up..
Alick was temperamental. Summer could never figure it out. For example, she didn’t know why Alick had been sullen at the dinner table, but now he was in a good mood.
“Sanford likes you.”
“Nonsense!” Summer thought in her mind. She gave Alick a doubtful look and signaled him to continue.
“Give me a price. How much would it take to hand over your son?”
Summer tittered. She said as Alick said just now, “At first, I don’t lack money. Next, you have my only son now. I think I should be the one to ask you, Mr. Hill?”
Summer didn’t want to make a compromise in words. She looked totally different from the one in Alick’s mind who lay under him and murmured for mercy with tears on her face.
She didn’t want to admit it. Anyway, Alick had much time for her to tell him.
“Sanford hor
hat you can stay there. You can take care of him during this time,” Alick said suddenly.
“Okay.”
But Alick didn’t go. Summer said with her eyebrows raised, “Anything else?”
Summer clutched at her sagging bathrobe with one hand and held the scattered long hair with the other hand.
There was only a little table lamp on in the room. The warm yellow light fell on Summer’s face, which made her look more soft and enchanting. Alick felt a little thirsty. Suddenly, he stepped forward.
“What are you doing?”
The light was suddenly blocked out, which made Summer scared. She was blocked by Alick and had no way out. She had no way but to look into his eyes.
Summer became weaker and weaker, with her eyes full of panic. However, she still straightened up her neck and was unwilling to acknowledge defeat. “Interesting,” Alick thought in his mind.

Summer pressed her elbow against Alick’s chest so that he could not continue to get close to her.
“Same here.”

After Alick went away, Summer spent a long time cooling her face down.
How embarrassing!
Summer patted her cheek in annoyance. After sulking for a while, she went for a bath in the bathrobe. She didn’t forget to lock the door before she went into the bathroom.
She must guard against Alick!
After the bath, Summer was rubbing body lotion on her legs. Suddenly, she heard a dull thud from the window glass.
“It’s not over yet, is it?” she thought in her mind.
Summer thought it was Alick’s mischief again. After wrapping herself in clothes, she opened the curtains and found a toy bird, which was cocking its head and looking at her on the windowsill. Because she didn’t open the
window
bird kept knocking on the glass window with its sharp beak.
As soon as Summer opened the window, she heard the crisp sound of “mommy“, which made her almost scream
out because of the scare. She hurriedly closed the window.
But the toy bird had a swift response. It jumped into the room and pecked at Summer’s little finger gently.
“Ballard?”
Summer lowered her head to observe the toy bird and found that its eyes were flashing red lights.
“It’s me!”
“Mommy, I’m here, too! Ballard, Aunt Fay, and I miss you so much. When do you come back?” Abby’s sound came from the toy bird again.
Alick was in the next room. But Summer was still worried. She checked again whether the door was locked after drawing the curtains.

Then, Summer sat on the bed with her legs crossed. She held the toy bird in her palm.

Summer wondered when Ballard invented this novelty. Meanwhile, she answered the question raised by Abby
just now,
“I’ll be back in a few days.”
The bird quietly lay in Summer’s palm. If Summer hadn’t heard it herself, she wouldn’t have believed that the humble toy bird would make a sound.
After a moment of silence, Ballard’s curious sound came from the toy bird again.
“Mommy, when could Abby and I see Sanford?”
“I
want to see him. He is so fierce!” Abby said softly, acting cute.
Summer guessed that they should see Sanford through the monitoring of the Hill’s villa.
“Sanford always stays at home lonely. Mommy, you take him out to play. In this way, we can meet soon!” Ballard was like a little sun that was full of energy forever.
“If I get a chance, I’ll try and get you to meet.”
Although she had so much more to say to the children, she was afraid that Alick found her. She could only say a few words before cutting off the call.
The next day, Joan got up early. Because the agent sent her a message that some photos from last night’s shoot could not be used, and she had to take the photos again today.
After Joan finished the makeup, Bill came to her before the agent.
Joan wondered if Alick also came.
Seeing Joan looking at the car, Bill guessed what she was wondering. He said, “Ms. Taylor, Mr. Hill didn’t come.”
The smile and excitement on Joan’s face faded. “Does Alick want to see me?”
Bill handed the folder to Joan, in which the contract was torn up by Alick yesterday was there.

“Bill, it’s very kind of you to bring it over.”
Joan was pleased and received the folder. She didn’t forget to soften Bill up at the same time.

“My pleasure.” Bill smiled faintly. “Ms. Taylor, Mr. Hill asked me to take back the key and entrance guard card of the Hill’s villa.”
Joan’s face changed suddenly. And her sound became sharper. “Why don’t I know this? Alick didn’t tell me.”
“Ms. Taylor, please give me the key and entrance guard card quickly. Don’t keep Mr. Hill waiting.”
“I’ll call Alick for confirmation. What if you’re lying to me?”
Joan said incomprehensibly. She prayed in her mind when she dialed the number.
However, the answer Joan got made her disappointed. She dully came back home and took out the key and
entrance g
card from the delicate small wooden box. Joan reluctantly handed them to Bill.
After checking them, Bill put a businesslike smile on his face. “Ms. Taylor, I’ll get out of your hair.”
Seeing Bill driving the car away, Joan bit her lower lip unwillingly. She didn’t even know her nails were going to be embedded in her palm.
Joan thought in her mind, “Summer, you just wait and see!”
