Chapter 22
Since Wallace no longer had any expectations for Cyrus, he didn’t even bother to lecture him. He was only concerned about Zoey’s safety.
He clasped his hands and said, “Since no one dares to do it, let me give it a try. Mr. Wood, I hope you can forgive my stupid son–in–law and spare him.”
“I’ll never forgive his ass! If you can’t heal my hand, my father won’t let the Clarke family off!” Sean yelled.
Mabel didn’t want to get involved in this trouble. She pushed Wallace away and said, “Everyone, Wallace only sells medicine. He doesn’t know how to set bones at all. The trouble caused by the Johnson family’s trash has nothing to do with the Clarke family.”
Zoey was helpless in that situation and could only attempt to mediate between the two parties.
She had a deep–seated fear of the Wood family’s father and son.
It was unrealistic to expect the almighty scion of the Wood family to apologize to a child from an insignificant family.
Zoey said gently, “Cyrus, let’s forget it. Today is my father’s birthday. Let’s not make him angry.”
Cyrus understood Zoey’s fear.
The Cyrus in the past couldn’t be considered a man at all. He didn’t provide even the most basic sense of
security for his family.
“Honey, let’s get the warning across once and for all,” Cyrus said. “From now on, if anyone dares to bully
wife and daughter, I won’t just dislocate their arm. I’ll dislocate at least 78 joints in their body and throw them into the trash can like the garbage, they are.”

His voice was loud enough to be heard by everyone present.
They could despise, scorn, and ridicule him, but they would never forget those words.
Seeing that Sean had wet his pants in his agony, Cyrus said, “No one else here can help you, so apologize
now.”
Sean was in a lot of pain. Seeing that no one was going to help him, he could only give in for now. Anyway, revenge was a dish best served cold.

He got up, knelt in front of Mira, and said, “Mira, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have kicked or hit you.”
Mira was aware that her grandfather was displeased and that her mother was in a difficult position, so
she said, “Okay, we’re even this time. But you can’t bully my daddy and mommy again.”
“Okay, I got it. Please ask your dad to help me now,” Sean replied timidly.
“Daddy, today is Grandpa’s birthday, so don’t be angry,” Mira said.
Cyrus nodded and said, “Sean, remember what you just said.”

Ignoring Sean’s shrill cries, Cyrus grabbed his arm and gave it a shake and a push.
With a loud crack, all of Sean’s dislocated joints were reconnected.
The entire place was dead silent. Horror and confusion flashed in the eyes of every medical expert there.
Although there were apparently 17 dislocated joints, everyone had only heard a crack. It meant that Cyrus had reconnected all the dislocated joints in one move.
Cecilia covered her mouth and glanced at Frederick.
Frederick looked confused and dazed.
Black magic. It had to be damn black magic!
“Did Cyrus know about bone setting before?” Frederick asked.
“He used to know nothing except gambling and beating his wife and child. Otherwise, how could Rachel toy with him like a puppet?” Cecilia replied.
Sean lay there for a while before struggling to get up.
As he looked at his wet pants, a murderous look emerged on his face.
He said coldly to Rachel, “Let’s go. He’s dead meat.”
To ease the tense atmosphere, the hostess on the stage announced that the most exciting part of the
banquet would begin soon.
The children would present their birthday greetings and gifts to Wallace, followed by Wallace’s announcement that Felix would inherit all the Clarke family’s property
Originally, it was only supposed to be Felix and Phoebe, but Cyrus and Zoey were included at the last
minute.
‘I’d like to invite Mr. Clarke’s three children to come up to the stage. Please bring the generous gifts you’ve prepared for your beloved father. Oh yes, the eldest son–in–law, Mr. Johnson, please come up too.”
The guests burst into laughter.
They felt that Zoey had to have been favored by some rich man. After all, Cyrus was just a freeloader and
not at all a respectable son–in–law!
Wallace grew anxious and shouted at Mabel, “What the hell are you doing? Are you making Cyrus come up to disgust me?
“Your good son–in–law said that he has prepared a big gift for you.”
Mabel couldn’t wait to watch the show.
