The first thing Darren did upon learning the news was call Olivia, but she didn’t answer.
Upon seeing her husband’s worry, Hillary’s expression turned cold.
Darren realized he was overly anxious and made an effort to calm down.
“You’re quite worried about Olivia, but I don’t see you showing the same concern for Naomi.”
Darren knew she was trying to be annoying, so he said, “How more should I show concern for her? This isn’t a small issue. Look at how big a storm this has caused. We’re talking about the Harrises. The
Harrises!”
After this happened with a family like that, how would Olivia survive?
No matter how nonchalant Darren usually was, this was serious.
Hillary said, “Don’t worry. She’s pregnant, so what could they do to her? She’s not very smart, though. Even
if she loves Claude, she shouldn’t have done this. But it’s understandable because she married into that family just to save her sister. Olivia did nothing wrong.
“Although this is going to be tough, the Harrises should be the ones taking care of the situation. You shouldn’t be worrying.”
Hillary walked inside after saying that.
Darren wanted to say something but stopped as the worry on his face lingered.
After Tyler spoke with Keith, his secretary awaited him while Tyler smoked in the garden.
Approaching Tyler, Linda asked, “Mr. Tyler, should we issue a statement?”
The situation was escalating. Despite the Harrises‘ influence, it wasn’t feasible to conceal everything given the current media landscape.
Tyler stood by the pond, watching the water flow.
Linda added, “No one knows it’s Claude, but isn’t it strange that his face wasn’t visible in the picture?
Could Claude be behind this?”
Linda didn’t want to speculate too much and just stopped speaking.
Tyler continued smoking, his shadow looming over the pond.
After a long silence, he tossed the bud to the ground, and the smoke floated around his face. He said, ” Arrange for a press conference.”
It was getting out of hand, so he had to say something.
“Yes, sir.”

Once Linda left, Tyler walked into the living room.
His phone rang–it was Naomi.
“Tyler, I read the news online and heard what happened to Olivia. Did company fine?”
He looked calm as he listened and just said, “I’m handling it.”
“Do you think you’ll be able to lock the media out?”
“No.”

Tyler just continued walking as if he didn’t hear what Naomi said and just let her babble on.
Sophie found out what happened that morning and repeatedly attempted to reach Olivia, growing increasingly anxious with each failed attempt.
She could only hit redial as she left her home and arrived at her cousin’s office in Yancey Bank. She then asked, “How were you captured with Olivia?”
