Upon returning home. I found my mother had prepared a table full of delicious dishes for me. After happily enjoying the meal with them, I walked into my room.
I preferred sleeping in this princess bed I had grown up with, rather than the marital bed in Hovilham Residence
I lay on the bed, diligently analyzing the information about Radglo Corp.’s core business that my father had handed over to me

I answered the phone with some suspicion and heard his slightly lazy, magnetic voice from the other end. “Tavlor, where are you?”
Judging from his tone, he seemed to be back at Hovilham Residence.
“Oh, didn’t I tell you? Since I’ll be working soon, it’s more convenient to stay at my parents‘ place.”

affairs!”
Gordon’s words really made my blood boil.
Did he think I was so eager to become his real wife? He should stop flattering himself.
I rolled my eyes a thousand times over the phone, but unfortunately, he couldn’t see any of it.

I laughed coldly and said, “You’re overthinking it. I just Introduced him to a supplier, hoping to save Holmes Group some money.
“Don’t worry, I’d rather be the pampered heiress at Radglo Corp. than your wife who has to cater to your whims! You can give the position of your wife to whoever you want. I’m more than willing to step aside!”

“Taylor, stop threatening me with divorce. Do you really think I care about this marriage?”
Gordon’s voice, even through the phone, made it sound like he was gritting his teeth.
Whether you care about it or not, divorce is always on the table if that’s what you want,” I replied calmly.
In my previous life, he had always been the one to bring up divorce, Infuriating me. Now that the roles. were reversed, there was a certain unspeakable satisfaction in my heart.
“Taylor, I’m not a chess piece for you to manipulate! If you want a divorce, I’m not going to give you one!”
He was truly one of Sobrough City’s notorious tycoons. Even his logic was domineering.
I thought I could easily end this marriage by being willing to let go, but unexpectedly, he stubbornly refused to divorce. How amusing.

The next morning, I picked a white business suit from my wardrobe.
After changing into the outfit, I applied light makeup and tied my hair into a high bun. I then put on the pearl earrings my mother gave me.
I had never tried this professional style before. I bought this suit only recently.
As I looked at my elegant appearance in the mirror, I suddenly felt more confident.

Dad, who never cared much about my attire, complimented me out of the blue. “Tay, with you dressed like this, you really have the style of Radglo Corp.’s successor.
“Don’t compliment her too soon. Who knows how long she’ll stick with it?”
I always had a habit of not following through with things, so even Mom wasn’t sure how long my determination would last this time.

“Mom, don’t underestimate me! I’ve got Dad’s genes. Maybe I’ll turn Radglo Corp. Into a business empire in Sobrough City or even the whole world!” I said with a smile.
My words made both of my parents laugh. Mom had already prepared breakfast, so she called us to sit.

After having breakfast with my parents, Dad and I drove to Radglo Corp. together.
When we arrived at Radglo Corpo, we saw my cousin Mona standing at the building’s entrance in her business attire, waiting for us respectfully.
Mona was dressed in a black business suit today, with long, dazzling diamond earrings that caught the eye. Her bold red lips and domineering vibe made it clear that she had come prepared.
Was she deliberately trying to overshadow me?
I couldn’t help but sneer in my heart.
Fortunately, I had come fully prepared today. To match my business suit, I had even bought a pair of champagne–colored high heels.
The red lipstick I used was a classic red. It wasn’t as flashy as hers but still kept up the appearances.
And with features inherited from my father, I possessed a radiant and poised appearance. In both attire.
and looks, I was confident that I was not inferior to Mona in any way.
Mona still regarded me as a playful little girl. Therefore, she seemed quite surprised to see my outfit.
As usual, she affectionately took my arm when she came over. “Tay, why are you dressed so professionally today? You really surprised me. I thought you were just coming to play around.”

hostess‘ tone, smiling brightly at me.
