Chapter 81
It was a young man who was about the same height as Ray. He had on a backpack and was carrying a suitcase. He looked disillusioned and frustrated, which was unusual for a young man at his age.
Although he was unshaven and was still far away, I immediately remembered that he was Sabrina’s boyfriend, Nathan.
I understood something when I saw the suitcase in his hand.
I waited quietly where I was and saw that after Nathan and Ray had talked for a while, he waved goodbye to Ray and left.
Ray also turned to walk inside, but he spotted me at the door and immediately ran toward me.
“Good morning, Taylor!”
“Good morning, Ray. Was that your friend?”
“Him? He’s Nathan, a good friend of mine. I think I’ve mentioned him to you before. His girlfriend broke up. with him, and he lost his job, so he plans to stay in his hometown for a while. He came specially to say goodbye to me,” Ray said.
Sabrina and Nathan had broken up?

“Did he tell you their reason for breaking up?” I couldn’t help asking.
Ray sighed.
“His girlfriend is in the planning team at Holmes Group. The interns there can only become permanent staff after at least one year, but somehow she managed to secure a permanent position very quickly. Now, she’s been promoted to the position of assistant to the director. She’s gone up in the world, but my friend still hasn’t changed. She feels that he’s too complacent, so she doesn’t want him anymore.”
