Elliot was stunned.
It took him several seconds to process what Sheena had just said.
In that brief moment, his eyelashes fluttered intensely, and his eyes turned frighteningly red.

Sheena nodded firmly. “I’m clear–headed now. I know full well what I’m saying. If we get a divorce, you won’t be hurt anymore, and I won’t have to feel guilty. It’s better for both of us.
Elliot’s obsidian eyes filled with tears of despair as he sank into extreme hopelessness.
“I kept your condition from you at all costs because I was afraid you would make this extreme choice. I never thought you would find out and still choose to do this.”
His heavily scarred back trembled as he sniffled, and his gaze was full of sorrow.
“Nana, this is the second time you’ve brought up divorce. We were divorced once, and I only won you back after almost losing my life. How many more do you want me
to sacrifice this time?”
Sheena was caught off guard by his words, and she sighed, reaching out to his back. to continue applying the ointment.
Elliot moved away slightly, refusing her touch.
Seeing him so upset, Sheena softened her tone and explained, “Eli, that’s not what I
meant. When my illness strikes, I don’t even know who I am. I might hurt you.”
She took a deep breath and rephrased her explanation, “What I meant was by getting
a divorce, you can have the kids and lock me up. I’ll give you everything that I own
under my name and focus on my treatment.
“If there’s no hope for recovery, you can find a kind and caring mother for the kids. Don’t worry about me. If my illness can be fully cured, we can remarry. What do you
think?

“No!” Elliot replied without hesitation. “We’re not getting a divorce. Who knows, your might find someone else during our separation. I’m five years older than you. By the- time I’m old and unattractive, you might not want me back, and there will be no hope
for remarriage.”
Sheena was rendered speechless.
He continued, his gaze firm, “I’ll never get a divorce again.”
Sheena sighed again, “Eli…”
“Call me ‘Honey‘.” Elliot turned his face away, sulking.
Sheena sighed in resignation, speaking earnestly
“I really don’t want to hurt you.
Just like when you were infected with the S404 virus and were on the brink of death, you chose to let me go, to divorce me, so I wouldn’t be sad. Now, I’m feeling the
same way. Don’t you see it?”
Elliot propped himself up and sat in front of her, asking, “But back then, weren’t your also determined not to give up on me? I’m feeling the same way you did then. Don’t
you see it?”
Sheena remained silent.
Elliot held her hand tightly and added, “Marriage means facing difficulties together, sharing joys and sorrows. Besides, your illness isn’t that serious. Yosef said that if the treatment goes well, you could recover in at most six months. The kids and I will be with you every step of the way.”

After thinking for a while, Sheena said, “Locking me up when I have an episode might be the best solution. I’ll stay alone and won’t harm anyone.”

Sheena chcked up.
Of course, she could not bear to.
If she could, she would spend three days and nights with Elliot, only focusing on him,
even if it meant ending up in the ICU due to excessive indulgence.
It would be worth it to ease his pain from the past few days.
Since Elliot had seen through her thoughts, Sheena forced herself to maintain her
composure.
“Anyway, I won’t allow you to get hurt again. If you don’t behave, I’ll show you how

As long as divorce was not mentioned, anything was negotiable.

Elliot obediently lay down, and Sheena gently applied the ointment to his back,
buttocks, and legs.
Her fingers glided over his swollen skin.
As she applied the medicine, she pondered solutions.
She could not control her episodes, and she understood Elliot’s personality well.
He would probably let her use him as a punching bag again to let her release her pent
