Sheena did not immediately respond. Instead, she turned her head to look at Elliot lying beside her.
She noticed him staring at her resentment.
He had obediently played the role of prey, lying there waiting for her, only to be denied at the last moment.
It was quite frustrating.
Understanding his feelings well, Sheena decisively declined, “I’m unavailable today and taking a day off at home. If she’s willing to wait, she can wait. She can sit in the waiting room all day if she wants to.”
“Understood, Ms. Lawson.”
“Yeah, I’m busy with important matters today. If it’s not a major crisis for the company, don’t bother me.”
“Yes, Ms. Lawson.”
After hanging up the phone, Sheena leaned in once again, pressing herself against Elliot.
“Honey, are you satisfied with the answer?”
Elliot could not help but lightly smirk, obviously delighted with her reply.
Leaning close to Sheena’s ear, his husky voice sent shivers down her spine as he said, “Very satisfied.”
Sheena leaned in, kissing his lips once more.
The sensual atmosphere lingered in the air as the two enjoyed the beautiful afternoon together.
From the afternoon until dusk, they did not leave the bed, indulging in each other’s company and enjoying
their private world.
As evening approached, Sheena’s phone rang again.
However, it was not business–it was Phoebe.
Since Phoebe lost four years of memories and returned with Howard, she had been ur er his careful
watch, and it had been a while since she last called.
Answering the call, Sheena heard Phoebe’s sad voice, “Sheena, do you have a moment? Can we meet?”
Sheena could tell from Phoebe’s tone that something had happened.
“Phoebe, what’s wrong? Are you feeling down?”
Phoebe remained silent.
“Did Howard bully you? Tell me, I’ll teach him a lesson.”
“I…” Phoebe hesitated for a moment before saying, “I snuck out. I don’t want to go back to Mr. Howard’s mansion, nor do I want to go back to the Nicholls residence.”

With her mind regressed by four years, Phoebe lacked any social experience or knowledge.
“So, you’ve run away from home?” Sheena sighed. “Where are you? I’ll come find you.”
Phoebe observed the surrounding buildings. Having lost part of her memory, Svelton was unfamiliar territory to her.
After trying to communicate with her for a while without figuring out her location, Sheena had no choice but to teach her how to send her real–time location via WhatsApp.
Before leaving, Sheena hurriedly changed into a different outfit.
“Eli, it seems like Phoebe had a fight with Howard and is feeling upset. I’ll go check on her and try to come back as soon as possible.”
Elliot remained calm on the surface, being understanding and supportive.
“Alright, Honey. Take care of yourself.”
As soon as Sheena left, Elliot immediately called Howard, his tone grave and questioning.
“What happened between you and Phoebe? How did you let her have the chance to run away from home? She even asked Nana to accompany her.”
“Phoebe ran away from home?” Howard was baffled.
He was still at work and had no idea how this situation occurred.
Without hanging up the call with Elliot, he grabbed another phone and called the mansion’s guard.
From the guard, he learned that Phoebe was indeed not at the mansion and had sneaked out without
anyone noticing.
He felt a sense of urgency and could not focus on work anymore.
“How could this happen? I’ve been treating her well recently and haven’t had any argu. ents with her.”
The two men continued talking on the phone for a while.
Sheena drove to the remote wilderness.
As it was getting dark, she searched the area using a flashlight and finally found Phoebe crouching by the
side.
