Facing their gazes, Anne smiled innocently, her face full of anticipation. “Sure, I really like Ms. Lawson’s arrangement. I’d be happy to stay with them.”
Corey remained silent.
Since he spent reading scriptures all night, he had become much calmer than before, lacking the previous

Barbara politely smiled. “Since you’re Sheena’s friend, we’ll definitely arrange everything. Where is your luggage, Ms. Windsor? I’ll have the bodyguards pick it up.”
“Thank you,” Anne said, moving closer and happily holding her hands. “I don’t have any siblings, but you’re
so friendly. It’s as if you’re my real sister–in–law.”
Feeling a bit uncomfortable with Anne holding her hands, Barbara chuckled awkwardly.
“It’s nothing. If you need anything else these days, just let me know.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Sheena listened quietly as Anne tried to cotton up to Barbara, sipping her third cup of tea.
She kept her gaze fixed on Anne, lost in her thoughts as she drank the tea without really tasting it.
While Anne was engrossed in conversation with Barbara, Sheena suddenly addressed Corey, “Your previous punishment will be moved up to the afternoon, but you can skip the whip. Just kneel in the altar room and read some scriptures to improve your character.”
Corey was taken aback.
Sheena had ordered him to stop his voluntary punishment a long time ago.
Why did she suddenly want him to continue?
He did not understand her intentions, but her cold and distant attitude with each word pricked his heart.
“Okay. You’re the head of the household. I’ll follow your order.”
Sheena glanced coldly at the time and commented, “It’s afternoon now. Aren’t you going to the altar
room?”

The altar room was in Albert’s old mansion, so Corey had to go there.

As she passed by the altar room, she deliberately stopped.
Corey’s hoarse recitation could be heard clearly.
