Elliot remained silent.

“I’m hitting you on purpose! You’ve been taking care of him for just a few days, and you’ve already betrayed me. If you’re protecting him, then take the hit for him!”
Howard, rubbing his sore arm, was utterly bewildered.

Hearing that Corey intended to hit Howard, Elliot weakly tried to sit up, attempting to intervene.
Before the hanger could strike down again, Noah reached from behind and firmly seized it.
“Stop acting like fools.” Noah’s voice was cold and composed. Then, he snorted and added somewhat sinisterly, “Dealing with Elliot is simple.
