“I don’t give a fuck how you manage to do it, I want to know everything that there is to know about that fucking
lawyer of his. He cannot be the same Viktor that I have in mind.” I said, snapping at Artur, my new second hand. After a long fight with a chronic heart disease, my best friend passed away, I knew that I was going to need
someone to take his place when it came to office work, and being around us the longest, Artur was the only one to
take his place.
“There is only one Viktor Donavan, boss. He is the lawyer that we all know. The question is, how did Katerina
manage to get to him. The man barely answers anyone. He doesn’t even have a stable landline to answer. But
when he does…”
“He would have done it for the sake of finding out whether or not it was really her. I doubt that he wanted to believe it, and we all know how fucking picky that bastard is.” I said, tapping my desk twice. “Find a way to get him to let go of the case. Give him money, double, even triple the amount that Katerina was offering him. He is going to have to let her go, and he is not going to be the one to take her case.”
“What if he refused? Whatever case is going to be, you know that Katerina is not going to stop, Nikolay. She has started this war, and if she has proof in her hands, she would be more than willing to stand, even without a lawyer.”
He said, and I scoffed.
“Her standing without a powerful lawyer would weaken her, at least, legally. I would know how to negotiate things
my way, and though smart, she is no lawyer. She won’t know how to read the clauses properly without one. And I am going to be getting what I want.” I said, and Artur nodded.
“What did she ask for?”
“For now, the children’s custody. She wants to take them to grow the way that she wants them to, and I am not going to allow her to play her game of kindness on them. I am not going to have children who are raised without their father and a son who is raised by his mother to be spoiled.” I said, and Artur nodded.
“But they still need her as infants. They can end up…”
“I am going to play this game my way, and that is one of the reasons why I am going to need Viktor to be away from her. You do as I ask you, and find a fucking way to get him away from her. I don’t care what he asks for, give it.

“We froze that account, boss. You gave that order. She is using her own money and cards. You know that we have no authority over them.” He said, and I banged my table, glaring at the wall in front of me. Of course, she has been

saving up whatever money she was earning for years. I was the one supporting her, I was the one who helped her grow stronger to think of daring to challenge me.
“Do as you’re told. And send Henry to the office. I want him to start preparing the legal papers,” I said, and he shook his head in question. “I am going to need a plan B if things don’t work. And if she is going to still fight back and if Viktor, by some miracle, refuses to take the offer that we are going to give him, then we are going to need to have different means of arguments. The man is going to be setting things for her benefit, and I don’t want her to have
them.”
“I’ll call Henry and I will see about the kids. We will need a social worker to let us know what we are going to need. to do to take the kids without alarming them and the authorities. You know, they are going to be asking the kids, and if they give different answers from the ones that you want them to give, we might end up dealing with a situation that you don’t want us to go through.” He said, and I nodded.
“Think of all the details and give me briefing on them when you are done.” I said, and he nodded, taking a step back. I looked at my phone as I rang and I couldn’t help but shake my head when I saw that it was Ashley. The woman’s anger was as short as a five year old whose toy had been taken away.

I watched as Artur walked out of the office before answering her, knowing that she would be waiting for an

explanation to what happened. Receiving the divorce papers in the company wasn’t something that I wanted, but I
knew that Katerina played this game on purpose. She is doing what she is to annoy me, and that is not something that I am going to allow her to get away with.

“Are you going to come home? Or do you intend to go back to the woman who filed a divorce paper against you?” She asked, not bothering to say hello.

“I am going to stay in a hotel. I would rather wait till you fix that attitude of yours before I see you. But then again, I doubt that you even realized that you were crossing a limit, did you?” I asked, my tone coming out as sarcastic.
“My apologies, you know, a woman can have so much patience when she sees her man, the one that she loves, growing angry when it comes to a divorce being filed against him, one that he should have filed by now.” She said, snapping at me. “You can stay in the hotel all you want. Seeing you is not something that I want to do tonight

She hung up on me before I could answer, and I snapped, throwing my phone on the desk as I glared at it.
“I will be dealing with your bullshit later. For now, I am going to need to focus on this fucked up,shit that I have in
