“Mr. Zeller, we’ve already obtained Ms. Shelley’s medical records from abroad.”
Inside the office of the CEO of Zeller Group, Timothy placed a document in front of Colton.
Colton carefully read the contents of the report, words like “difficult labor,” “heavy bleeding,” and “shock” sent chills down his spine. He had never imagined that Cynthia had endured unimaginable pain to give birth to their two children.
A surge of anger welled up in his heart. How dare she have my children without my consent? Who does she think she is? She even nearly lost her own life!
“Have someone prepare two children’s rooms,” Colton instructed Timothy, suppressing his anger.
Timothy nodded, but before he left, he found himself in a rare predicament. “Mr. Zeller… where should the children’s rooms be set up?”
If Ms. Larson were to find out that Mr. Zeller and Ms. Shelley have two children…
Colton furrowed his brows, falling silent for a moment. “Let’s set them up at the Zeller manor for now. If Grandpa asks, we’ll tell him the truth.”
The two were deep in conversation when the secretary knocked and entered. “Mr. Zeller, Ms. Shelley has arrived.”
Colton’s eyes narrowed dangerously at once. “Let her in.”
Standing at the door, Cynthia took a deep breath. She pushed the door open and looked toward Colton.
Over the course of those three years, she had stepped into this office countless times. Each visit was accompanied by a meal made with heartfelt intentions. Regrettably, Colton had -never once tasted it.

Cynthia said nonchalantly, “Is that so? I seem to have forgotten.”

The atmosphere in the modestly sized reception room suddenly took a peculiar turn.
“I want to publicly acknowledge both children.” Colton casually pulled out a cigarette, holding it in his hand without lighting it.
Cynthia hadn’t expected him to make such a demand. “Impossible.”
Colton laughed. “Cynthia, do you think I’m negotiating with you?” He tossed the cigarette back onto the table. “You should know it’s no trouble at all for me to take the children away.”
Cynthia’s face was a mask of distress. She abruptly stood up. “Colton, don’t forget you’re already engaged. What will happen to your fiancée if the children’s identities vealed?”
Elsa was never one to be trifled with. There was no telling if she would harm the children.
Colton furrowed his brows.
Seeing that, Cynthia hurriedly continued, “You and Elsa will eventually have your own child. When that time comes, how will Lukas and Luna fend for themselves? Perhaps it would be better if-”
