Gordon and I got dressed up appropriately for the occasion. We stood in front of the mirror and scrutinized each other. Then, we headed out together and drove to the airport.
Gordon was only 28 years old. Yet, he exuded a mature, experienced presence, Perhaps it was due to the long years he had spent in the game of business. As we were on the way to welcome important foreign guests, both of us sat upright during the entire journey without speaking much to each other.
The visit from the Aribia VIPs was crucial to Holmes Group, On the way there, Gordon glanced at his watch several times. His brow was furrowed deeply, and the maturity and calm he exuded made him seem intimidating.
Although I kept reminding myself not to fall for him, I had to admit that Gordon was very
charismatic when he was like this.
We arrived at the airport in no time and waited on the tarmac for the VIPS from Aribía to
arrive.
However, Gordon got a call just as the plane landed smoothly.
I didn’t know who called, but Gordon’s face changed when he picked up.
“What did you say? The venue is still not decorated, and you still can’t contact Sabrina?”
Gordon’s voice had gone an octave higher.
I suddenly realized something from what he had said. It seemed that Sabrina had not done the job properly.
“Find another way, quickly! Don’t tell me that we don’t have enough time. I don’t care how
you do it, but no mistakes are allowed! Otherwise, you all will have to bear the consequences! “Gordon yelled into the phone.
Then he hung up in fury.
“What’s the matter?” I asked him in a low voice when I saw the state he was in.
He looked irritated as he said, “Something went wrong at the venue. We had already agreed on a time with Sabrina for her to decorate it, but for some reason, she didn’t turn up. She isn’t picking up calls either. Now they’ve contacted Freya, but she doesn’t know anything. The flowers didn’t arrive on time, either.”
Gordon explained the situation honestly.

Immediately made a decision.
“‘t call Selena. She has ready–made floral arrangements, and her team is ready to go. I’ll tell her to rush over to salvage the situation. What do you think?”
Gordon glanced at his watch. He knew that there was no other way, so he nodded.
I immediately walked aside to call Selena. When she picked up my call, she reassured me that she would take care of everything.
I knew Selena well. Although she liked to have fun, she was meticulous about work and wouldn’t make any mistakes. I was immediately reassured.
Once I hung up, I saw the Aribia VIPS getting off the plane in the distance.
There was no time to discuss anything with Gordon, so I gave him a thumbs–up, and we immediately wore our diplomatic smiles as we walked over.
Gordon spoke to them in fluent Inglice. He appeared confident, and he had excellent pronunciation. He didn’t need the interpreter’s help at all. I added on where I was needed, and I began chatting with the female companions of the VIPS.
My Inglice pronunciation was trained by my foreign tutor when I was a child. She was from Malca. I had good pronunciation, and I had no problem carrying a conversation in Inglice.
We chatted as we walked along, and we exited through the VIP lane and got into our respective cars.
Once we had arranged for them to enter their cars, I saw Gordon give me an approving look.
I had many talents that he didn’t know about. I wasn’t as mediocre as he thought I was.
It was just that in the past, he had only been able to see Sabrina’s talents, and he had never given me a chance to show mine.
