Elliot froze, but his expression quickly returned to normal.
“Honey, don’t you remember? You said the bedside lamp was too bright, so I took it away. From now on, we won’t have these kinds of lamps around.”
Sheena was perplexed.
“I really don’t remember that. And this lamp didn’t even have strong light. How could
it bother me?”
Elliot smiled gently, offering her the spoonful of soup. “Who knows? Sometimes, when you’re tired from work, small things like this slip your mind after a nap. It’s
normal.”
Normal?
This did not feel normal at all!
While trying to recall the matter, she habitually opened her mouth, accepting Elliot’s
feeding.
Elliot watched her affectionately, focused on feeding her.
As Sheena chewed on the beef, she suddenly glanced to the side.
“Honey, why is your bedside lamp still there?”
For someone with OCD like her, having only one lamp on the bedside table seemed
odd.
How could she have suggested removing the lamp because of its brightness?
Elliot calmly explained, “If you don’t like it, I’ll take it away too.”
From now on, no more dangerous items on the bedside table.
If possible, he would move Sheena’s makeup table out of the bedroom altogether.
Apart from the bed, nothing else should be there.

Nonetheless, that was just wishful thinking.
Seeing Sheena still skeptical, Elliot decisively fed her another spoonful of soup.
“Come on, Nana, it’s just a small thing. Don’t dwell on it. You have a lot of work to do today, right? It’s almost 1 p.m. Let’s finish up, and I’ll drive you to the Lawson Group.”
“It’s almost 1 p.m.?”
Sheena was in disbelief.
Recently, she had been sleeping until noon and waking up either with a headache or feeling exhausted, without any recollection of what had happened in between.
Deep in thought, Sheena accepted another spoonful of soup from Elliot and quickly finished the whole bowl, lying down for him to massage her.
As the soreness in her body eased, Sheena’s delicate hands reached for Elliot’s
muscular waist.
There were marks from the belt on his waist from last night, causing Elliot to flinch slightly in pain, furrowing his brow lightly.
Afraid of Sheena noticing anything unusual, he forced himself to straighten up, endure the pain, and allow her to embrace him.
Sheena lightly pecked his thin lips.
“Honey, you’re so thoughtful. If you keep pampering me like this, I’ll become a spoiled
brat.”
Elliot gently rubbed his nose against hers.
“This is nothing. You’re ambitious and want to achieve great things. As your
husband, it’s my duty to take care of these little chores for you.”
She was deeply moved, wrapping her arms around his back tightly.
“Thank you, Honey, for supporting my career.”
Elliot’s eyelashes fluttered, taking a moment to adjust his breath before pressing his
cheek against her ear.

“It’s the least I can do.”
After some affectionate moments together, Sheena finally got out of bed to freshen
- up.
Once her figure disappeared into the bathroom, Elliot allowed the pain he had been. suppressing to show on his face.
Fortunately, he was already wearing a suit jacket, so Sheena did not notice anything
amiss..
If he had been wearing pajamas, she would surely have noticed something was up.
Twenty minutes later, Sheena had changed into her office attire and applied light makeup, holding hands with Elliot as they left the house together.
Elliot personally drove her to the Lawson Group building downtown.
Once Sheena’s figure vanished from sight, his expression immediately turned serious, and he promptly rolled up the car window.
He took out his phone and called Yosef, detailing last night’s events.
Yosef listened calmly and commented, “When Sheena has an episode, she loses consciousness, but she won’t realize what she has done when she’s awake. This doesn’t mean she stops thinking during those moments. Turning around and taking the lamp was a normal outburst.”
Elliot understood, feeling somewhat disappointed yet relieved.
Thankfully, Sheena was not intentionally tormenting him due to her mental illness.
Elliot stayed quiet, and Yosef continued, “Elliot, come to the lab. Let me check your injuries from last night and give you some potent tranquilizers in case of
emergencies.
“Okay,” Elliot agreed, immediately heading to the lab.
At the lab, he only removed his shirt so that Yosef could examine his injuries.
Yosef breathed a sigh of relief, saying, “Luckily, it’s just superficial wounds, no damage to the bones. But with your entire body in this state, it must be painful, right?”
Elliot glared at him. “Why don’t you take a few hits and find out if it hurts?”
