Yosef’s mouth twitched slightly.
“Forget it. I’m not cut out for it. I’m just a frail little doctor who would pass out after a
few hits. You’re the one tough enough to take a beating.”
Elliot frowned, glaring at him with a chilling gaze.
Sensing the threat, Yosef chuckled and patted Elliot’s shoulder.
“No offense intended. I’m just praising your strong and enduring physique.”
“That’s enough. Stop with your nonsense.”
Yosef grudgingly fell silent and handed him a tube of ointment specialized for
treating bruises and sprains.
“This is more effective than the medicine you have at home, but it might sting a bit
when applied.”
It would help his wounds heal faster, which was something Elliot needed badly.
Before leaving the lab, Yosef warned him repeatedly, “Elliot, if Sheena goes berserk again tonight, don’t just stand there and take a beating. Your wounds haven’t healed yet. It’ll hurt even more if you get hit again. Find a way to inject Sheena with tranquilizers instead.”
Elliot nodded as he walked away.
Yosef had mentioned before that excessive use of powerful tranquilizers could
affect the nervous system, which would not be beneficial for future treatments to cure Sheena’s manic episodes,

When Sheena had just taken over the Lawson Group, she had allowed Elliot to assist
with business matters.
Hence, he had the privilege to just walk in without needing to be announced by her
assistant.
“Feeling tired?” Elliot gently massaged her hand. “Work is never–ending. Remember to rest. The balance between work and relaxation is the most important.”
After emphasizing this point, he carried Sheena in his arms and added, “Let’s go.

After dinner, they played mobile games together, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
They played until 10 p.m. before Elliot carried Sheena upstairs for a shower.
“Goodnight, honey.”
Sheena kissed him on the lips before closing her eyes to sleep.
However, Elliot kept his eyes open, watching her sleeping face.
He was too afraid to close his eyes.
Once Sheena’s breathing had become steady, indicating that she had fallen asleep, he quietly got out of bed, quickly and neatly tidying up the bottles and jars on the dressing table across from the bed, just in case.
After finishing everything, he chose to sit on the edge of the bed despite feeling tired, quietly watching Sheena sleep for a while.
He stared at her for several minutes and noticed that she showed no signs of having a manic episode, and his tense nerves relaxed.
Elliot wearily lay back down on the bed.
Then, just as he closed his eyes and had barely slept for a minute, he felt a gust of wind approaching his ear.
He quickly opened his eyes, grabbing Sheena’s right wrist as she swung her hand
towards him.
However, Sheena swung her left hand in response, catching Elliot’s right cheek off guard.
Elliot was stunned.
