Elliot decisively grabbed Sheena’s left wrist.
With both hands restrained, Sheena, in her manic state, immediately started kicking.
Elliot was forced to step back and release her.
He rolled to the edge of the bed, landing safely on the carpet.
While the raging Sheena looked for something to break, Elliot hurried to the coat rack
by the window and swiftly grabbed a belt.

After getting the weapon, Sheena’s gaze turned even more bloodthirsty and fierce.
“Wait!” Elliot exclaimed, his fear evident as he quickly shed his pajamas and tossed
them onto the bed, standing naked before Sheena to prevent another set of clothes.

“Alright, let’s get this over with and go to bed.”
Sheena growled like a raging wild beast, completely devoid of reason and
consciousness.
In her eyes, there was no mercy, only the desire to vent her anger as she fiercely swung the belt at him.
Elliot hissed in pain as each blow almost overlapped with the bruises from the
previous night.
He blocked the hits as best he could, taking deep breaths and gritting his teeth to
endure the pain.
He kept track of each hit quietly, silently counting how much he had to endure.
In the dead of night, the sound of the belt whipping through the air was terrifyingly
eerie.
This one–sided violence continued for nearly an hour.

After more than an hour of staying awake, Elliot struggled to main standing, leaning against the bed with his eyes closed, trying to ease his pain.
Yosef expressed his concern, saying, “Elliot, if Sheena has another episode tomorrow, just give her the strong sedative injection. Don’t risk yourself being a punching bag again. Look at your injuries! I don’t think you can take another beating.”
Elliot remained silent, focusing on regulating his breathing.
Yosef continued to brainstorm ideas, trying to help.
“How about this? Tomorrow night, you wear some protective gear. It’s better than enduring Sheena’s outbursts with your own body.”
Elliot casually brushed off, “We’ll talk about tomorrow night’s plan tomorrow night. Tonight, I just want to focus on being with Sheena during her IV drip.”
He suddenly recalled about the treatment and asked, “Will tonight’s IV drip have a significant effect on Nana’s manic episodes?”
Yosef replied, “It doesn’t work that fast. It’ll take at least a week before we see
noticeable improvements.”
Elliot remained composed. “Alright. Everything’s fine as long as it helps cure her
illness.”
After Sheena finished her IV drip, Elliot carefully carried her out of the lab, with Yosef
assisting nearby.
Soon enough, they arrived back at the Jenkins estate.
As Elliot strolled through the winding alleys of the estate, it was already 4.30 a.m.
With about four hours left to sleep, he planned to wake up around 8.30 a.m. to prepare Sheena breakfast and continue with her dietary therapy.

His body was in pain, and every inch of his skin was hurting.
As he could not sit, he supported himself with one hand on the edge of the bed and
adjusted his breathing to manage the pain.
It took a long time for him to stabilize himself.
Since the bedside lamp was removed and turning on the overhead light might wake Sheena up, Elliot picked up his pajamas and pants from the bed, leaning against the
wall as he made his way to the door.
He entered the living room naked, grabbing an ice pack from the fridge to apply to his face and inspecting his injuries.
The bruises had doubled, and there was not a single spot of unblemished skin on his
body.
Red and purple marks covered him, all effects of the abuse he endured.
Elliot staggered, needing to steady himself against the refrigerator.
Giving a beating consumed energy, but enduring one was equally draining, if not
more so.
Coupled with the lack of sleep these past few days, he felt both exhausted and sore.
As Yosef had already prepared the IV drip treatment, Elliot needed to tend to his
wounds before taking Sheena to the lab.

With that in mind, he forced himself to focus, applying the anti–inflammatory cream Yosef had provided earlier.
The cream had a potent effect, starting with a cooling sensation before transitioning into a fiery pain, feeling almost like scalding hot water that could peel off a layer of
his skin.
Even though Elliot had a high pain tolerance, it was still unbearable.
He broke out in a cold sweat, feeling dizzy and barely able to stand.
In order to expedite his recovery, he grabbed a towel, clenching it in his teeth as he
continued applying the ointment.
After enduring another round of intense pain from the ointment, he drank a glass of
water to ease the burning sensation coursing through his body, quickly putting on
his pajamas and pants before heading upstairs to find Sheena.
His arms were covered in injuries, causing discomfort when holding her.
Even so, Elliot endured silently, carefully carrying the sleeping Sheena downstairs.
Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the lab.
Upon receiving Elliot’s message, Yosef had rushed to the lab, ready to work late into
the night.
After setting Sheena up with an IV drip, Yosef looked at Elliot with concern.
“Elliot, you’re exhausted. Why don’t you rest in the adjacent room for a while? The IV drip will take at least two and a half hours, and I’ll keep an eye on Sheena for you.”
Elliot held onto Sheena’s hand tightly, refusing to let go.
Since he could not sit, he chose to stand vigilantly by her side.
