After only a brief glance, Anne quickly averted her gaze and continued to admire the scenery along the
roadside.
As Sheena drove, she explained, “This place is called Mountville, named by my mom. The entire mountain was bought by the Lawson family, and each mansion here is occupied by members of the Lawson family.”
Anne’s face lit up with amazement.
“The Lawson family truly lives up to being the wealthiest in Froania. Buying the entire mountain’s land and building such stylish mansions, it’s like a hidden paradise. Living here must be so blissful, right?”
Sheena did not answer her question; instead, she continued their conversation.
“Apart from the Lawson family, the Jenkins estate also has its own unique charm. It’s like buying an entire plain and turning it into a grand mansion with pavilions and flowing streams. Walking through the Jenkins estate feels like touring an ancient royal palace.”
“That sounds fascinating. I hope I get the chance to experience it someday,” Anne replied with a smile, her innocence shining through.
However, Sheena could not help but notice that Anne’s interest in the Jenkins estate was less intense
than her curiosity about the Lawson family.
The luxury car drove to the mountaintop, but instead of heading to Albert’s old mansion, they arrived at
Corey’s.
Before coming, Sheena called Barbara, and both she and Corey were home.
Knowing Sheena was coming over, Barbara had gone out early to buy seafood, planning to prepare a seafood feast, hoping Sheena and Corey could talk it out and mend their relationship.
When Corey learned that Sheena offered to visit, he stood waiting at the entrance with Barbara.
They soon noticed the two figures approaching through the garden gate. While it was indeed Sheena, the person beside her was not Elliot.
Barbara and Corey exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of Sheena’s intentions.
Sheena and Anne walked side by side to the entrance.
Seeing Corey and Barbara standing there, Sheena said, “This is Corey, my eldest brother, and the lady next to him is my sister–in–law, Barbara.”
Then, she turned to Barbara and added, “This is Anne Windsor, the general manager of AN Group. She’s visiting Froania, and I’ve invited her to stay a few extra days to explore around.”
After hearing Sheena’s brief introduction and receiving her distant and somewhat neglectful demeanor, Corey’s handsome face paled slightly, appearing sad.
Barbara glanced at his expression, nodding repeatedly before responding to Sheena with a smile.

“Since she’s your friend, she’s also a friend of ours. Come on in and have a seat.”
“Alright,” Sheena replied, following Barbara inside, leaving Corey and Anne behind.
Corey had previously injured his legs while kneeling in the altar room, resulting in some minor issues and
affecting his walking posture.
He coldly echoed, “Ms. Windsor, please come in.”
Anne smiled politely. “After you, sir.”
Corey did not say much more and entered the mansion.
Anne followed closely behind, observing his gait.
“What happened to your legs, Mr. Corey?”
Still maintaining his stern demeanor, Corey replied hoarsely, “Just an old condition.”
Anne politely expressed concern, “If it’s an old condition, you should seek treatment. Don’t let it linger and become a chronic issue. Mr. Corey, you’re handsome and in your prime. Don’t let this issue hinder your
future.”
Corey remained silent.
