He approached her and asked, “Is there any urgent business? I can help. It’s our first birthday celebration together, Hannah. Are you really sure you don’t want to go?”

Noah took a bold step, holding her hand. “But this time is different. It’s my first time celebrating your
birthday with you, and it’s special.”
Hannah fell silent.
A date, a movie, dinner, and… checking into a hotel?
Deep down, she was excited and looking forward to it, but she remained indifferent and silent.
Noah added, “Before we left, Auntie Vanessa told me she’d be locking the mansion gates. Even if
wanted to go back, you couldn’t. You’d have to come with me.”
Hannah’s expression turned sour.

Just before quitting time, her phone rang.
However, it was not Elliot urging her to come home.
It was Nathaniel.
Sheena answered with suspicion, and Nathaniel sounded upbeat.
“Nana, do you still remember you promised to treat me to a meal when you returned from abroad? It’s been quite a while since then. When are you going to make good on that promise? Surely you haven’t forgotten completely?”
Sheena was instantly rendered speechless.
With her evenings occupied by dealing with her bipolar disorder and her days filled with managing the Lawson Group business and Anne’s affairs, she had indeed forgotten.
Seeing her hesitation, Nathaniel offered an excuse.
“I know you have lofty ambitions, Nana, and you’re not content with just being the wealthiest in Froania. It’s okay if you forgot. If you have time tonight, let’s make it happen tonight.
“Alright, I’ll call Elliot and discuss where to eat. I’ll get back to you in half an hour.”
Since it was a promise Sheena made to Nathaniel for looking after the babies, Elliot did not object. He promptly agreed and helped her choose a restaurant.
After more than half an hour, dinner plans were settled.
To avoid Nathaniel feeling like a third wheel, Sheena invited Phoebe to join them.
After all, Phoebe and Nathaniel were siblings, and going in pairs would make the group appear more
balanced.
